WHAT IS P-SHOT®?

The P-Shot® is a non-surgical and minimally invasive medical procedure designed to rejuvenate and enhance male sexual health. Named after the Greek god of virility, Priapus, this treatment involves using a patient's own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to stimulate tissue regeneration and enhance blood flow in the genital area.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR CONSULTATION

Your first appointment will be a consultation appointment. This is where we will evaluate your overall health, answer any questions you might have about the P-Shot treatment, and determine if you are a candidate for treatment. We also understand that erectile dysfunction and appearance can be a sensitive subject for men – Know that this is a common issue many men face and at Bona Vie Medical Spa, our licensed provider, Natalie Winegar is highly experienced in treating men who are struggling with this subject matter.

If you are a candidate for treatment, a second appointment will be scheduled to administer the injection. The full appointment takes approximately 1 hour from start to finish. A numbing agent will be applied to the skin, so the injection will be completely painless.

The P-Shot is an outpatient procedure, so you are able to leave shortly after the treatment is administered.

HOW DOES THE P-SHOT WORK?

By recruiting naturally occurring growth factors and proteins from within your own blood, the P-Shot can treat your Erectile Dysfunction and improve your sexual performance. The P-Shot works in five simple steps:

Step 1

To obtain the PRP and inject it into your penis, a small amount of blood is drawn from your arm.

Step 2

Your blood sample is placed into a centrifuge. This spins your blood at high speeds to separate out the platelets from the plasma. This takes approximately 15 minutes.

Step 3

After the centrifuge has completed spinning your blood sample, a layer of PRP remains. The PRP is extracted into a syringe.

Step 4

A numbing cream is applied to your penis to ensure you are pain-free.

Step 5

The PRP is injected into multiple locations throughout your penis.

Since the P-Shot uses your own blood plasma, your body is more likely to utilize it and benefit from it rather than using foreign substances. 

This is an outpatient procedure that takes approximately 30 minutes.

FAQ About The P-SHOT™

We apply a topical numbing cream for 45 minutes before the procedure. Then we do an injection of lidocaine to numb the area even more. Patients feel it is very tolerable.

During the procedure, some patients feel pressure and mild discomfort for a very brief while. 

If you're concerned about pain relief and anxiety reduction, you can add Pro-Nox to your procedure for an additional $25. Also known as "laughing gas" it is a patient-controlled inhaler that offers instantaneous pain relief and relaxation. Pro-Nox won't put you to sleep or act as general anesthesia. The advantages greatly exceed the drawbacks and initial nervousness.

Directly into the shaft of the penis (corpus cavernosum) with a small needle, and into the head of the penis–in a way almost exactly as done with those who use injections for erectile dysfunction. A topical numbing cream is applied before injection for maximum comfort. 

An appointment takes less than 90 minutes, with most of the time spent waiting for numbing, which takes more than 45 minutes, before the actual injection.

Improvements in sexual function can take six to twelve months to experience optimal results.

No! Although, there might be some temporary swelling and tenderness. Some men were able to have sex on the same day of the procedure.

You can resume sexual activity the same day as your treatment, approximately 4 to 6 hours after your procedure.

Side effects will vary from client to client, but since PRP is extracted from your own blood, there are few and only minor potential side effects. These include the possibility of minor bleeding or bruising, swelling, and very rarely infection.

Many men notice results from the treatment within 24 hours, while others experience the benefits after 3 to 6 treatments. The timing and number of injections you need will vary based on your overall health and additional factors affecting your sexual function.
For those requiring return treatments, each subsequent visit will only cost $1000, not $1200 per treatment.
